The 18" "Raptor" Shear is both powerful and rigid. It can be used on any bench or mounted using the four corner fixing points. Designed and manufactured in the UK the Shear which has the ability to accurately cut PCB laminates, Plastics up to 2.00mm thick and Aluminium up to 1.5mm along the whole cutting length of 18" (457mm). The bottom blade is reversible providing two cutting edges. An important feature of this shears is safety. Free access to the cutting area is prevented by heavy Perspex shielding extending along both sides of the blade. These guards are split allowing easy alignment of materials. A safety latch is fitted to the pivot to prevent operation without it first being released. A 12" (305mm) wide cutting bed is fitted although wide material can also be cut. For positional accuracy the bed is fitted with a metric and imperial scale to aid accurate cutting.
