Types of Rechargeable Batteries

• Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) Batteries: Ni-MH batteries improve over Ni-Cd batteries. They are more eco-friendly, have a higher capacity, and do not suffer from the memory effect, unlike Ni-Cd batteries. Ni-MH batteries are commonly used in digital cameras, toys, and cordless phones.
• Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) Batteries: Li-Ion batteries are the most common rechargeable batteries used in smartphones, laptops, and electric vehicles. They have a high energy density, a long lifespan, and are lightweight. Li-Ion batteries are expensive compared to Ni-Cd and Ni-MH batteries but are more reliable and efficient.
• Lithium-Polymer (Li-Po) Batteries: Li-Po batteries are similar to Li-Ion batteries but are lighter and have a higher capacity. They are used in drones, portable speakers, and even wearable devices.

Advantages of Rechargeable Batteries
